<div><p>KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Trade Compliance Foreign-Trade Zone to join our <a href="https://tax.kpmg.us/services/trade-customs.html" target="_blank">Trade and Customs</a> practice.</p></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Conduct research and provide advice to clients, in variety of industries, on Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), import and export compliance matters; support managed service engagements, in a variety of industries, on Foreign-Trade Zo ne (FTZ) implementation and operations</li><li>Analyze import/export data in support of global trade projects such as: customs duty assessments, including for FTZ opportunities; trade compliance reviews; and global trade management (GTM) system implementations; provide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks and processes performed within the Trade & Customs delivery center</li><li>Be a valued member of the FTZ service delivery team and the GTM implementation team, and support the development and training of delivery center staff</li><li>Support FTZ clients with validating data, implementing, testing, and using GTM solutions</li><li>Provide clients with guidance on requirements of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and participating government agencies (PGA) for import, entry and export transactions in an FTZ environment</li><li>Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients in an effort to to manage expectations and satisfaction</li></ul><div> </div><div><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>Minimum one year of recent import/export experience, with strong working knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, compliance activities, and operations, including participating government agency (PGA) reporting, as well as other import/export matters, such as the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, free trade agreements, entry processes, valuation and informed compliance methods</li><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and/or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Juris Doctor (JD) or a master’s degree in international trade</li><li>Previous experience using FTZ Inventory control and Recordkeeping Systems and/or FTZ processing in preferred</li><li>Experience in using and/or implementing Global Trade Management (GTM) systems, including experience with system testing and training</li><li>Strong technical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth reviews of import/export data using data and analytics tools (using Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access)</li><li>Ability to travel both domestically and internationally</li><li>Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT, or any other employment-based visa)</li></ul><div><br></div>
