<div><p>KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our <a href="https://tax.kpmg.us/services/trade-customs.html" target="_blank">Trade and Customs</a> practice.</p></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Prepare duty drawback entries for electronic submission to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) including preparing import and exports, calculating various entered values and data review and manipulation</li><li>Support clients in maintaining overall compliance with CBP duty drawback regulations</li><li>Prepare duty drawback forms necessary for filing of claims</li><li>Coordinate with Global Trade Management (GTM) system implementation teams on data reporting to facilitate duty drawback filings</li><li>Undertake activities to proactively enhance savings through expansion of client's duty drawback programs; communicate on technical duty drawback matters<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Minimum one year of recent experience in duty drawback as a customs attorney, customs broker, industry trade specialist, US Customs drawback auditor, or import specialist, which includes duty drawback experience and may include experience in The Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, entry processes, valuation and informed compliance methods</li><li>JD or Master's degree in international trade or related degree from an accredited college or university preferred; minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (including Access) and top duty drawback preparation software</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication/presentation skills</li><li>Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed</li><li>Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)<br><br></li></ul><br>
