<p>Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards. Evaluate the work requirements of audits for clients, including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants. Identify accounting and audit risks. Write audit reports and present findings to clients and upper management. Assess effectiveness of client audit processes and controls. Identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients. Prepare audit proposals and expand client base by identifying growing client portfolios. Provide training and guidance on audit methodology and U.S. GAAP technical accounting. Provide technical guidance and timely performance feedback to team members. Assist with tasks related to account administration, including billing, fee analysis, and new service development. Coordinate and guide audit engagements. Create business development opportunities. Support client relationships and develop professional networks.</p>
<p>WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)</p><p>LICENSE REQUIREMENT:</p><p>Must have an active New Jersey CPA license.</p><p>TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: </p><p>Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. is required up to 5%.</p><p>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</p><p>Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or a related field, and 7 years of related work experience.</p><p>Employer will accept a 3 or 4-year Bachelor’s degree.</p><p>Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Overseeing audit engagements; Developing and executing audit strategies and procedures; Applying U.S. GAAP, IFRS, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing standards; and Testing accounting procedures and communicating findings to clients and upper management.</p><p>Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.</p><p>Telecommuting may be permitted within commutable distance from the office location, depending on business need.</p><p>QUALIFIED APPLICANTS:</p><p>Apply online at https://www.kpmguscareers.com/job-search and type requisition number 131963 in the keyword search box for Experienced Professionals.
