<p>KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join our <a href="https://tax.kpmg.us/content/tax/en/index.html" target="_blank">Business Tax Services</a> practice. </p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate and individual tax services including planning, research, compliance, provision work, and mergers and acquisitions activities, and assist with new business development related to these tax services</li><li>Recognize, research, and recommend resolutions for moderate to complex tax issues</li><li>Carry out research and analyze tax consequences to determine appropriate tax treatment of domestic and international taxation specifically in consolidated tax returns and reorganization</li><li>Conduct tax due diligence and prepare reports</li><li>Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on helping to provide industry knowledge and experience</li><li>Develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members</li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Minimum eight years of recent public accounting and/or corporate tax experience</li><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG’s approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list</li><li>Fluent in both English and Japanese</li><li>Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters, including provision and advisory experience, with a working knowledge of the application of ASC 740</li><li>Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information</li><li>Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams</li></ul>
